Full Stack Engineer – Hevis Technologies Pvt Ltd

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who enjoys building products from the ground up. You will work closely with the Founder/CTO and take ownership across the frontend, backend, database and third-party integrations of Hevis Pro Hire. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who is comfortable working in a lean startup environment, solving real product problems and taking features from: Idea → Development → Testing → Deployment You will play an important role in turning our MVP into a reliable, scalable SaaS product. What You'll Build You will work on core Hevis Pro Hire workflows including: Employer job creation and management Candidate applications and profiles Candidate screening and hiring pipeline Interview scheduling and management Offer and joining workflows WhatsApp-based candidate communication SMS and email notifications Employer and candidate dashboards Authentication and role-based access APIs and backend services Database architecture and optimization Third-party service integrations Key Responsibilities Product Development Build and maintain core product features across frontend, backend and database. Translate product requirements into reliable and maintainable software. Develop employer and candidate workflows across the hiring lifecycle. Build and improve the candidate pipeline from New → Screened → Interview → Offer → Joined. Work closely with the Founder/CTO on product and technical decisions. Frontend Engineering Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces using React or similar modern frontend technologies. Convert UI/UX designs into clean, reusable components. Maintain frontend performance, usability and consistency. Collaborate with product/design on improving user workflows. Backend Engineering Develop backend services and REST APIs using Node.js or similar technologies. Implement authentication, authorization and role-based access. Build reliable business logic for hiring workflows. Integrate external APIs and services. Troubleshoot and improve backend performance. Database Work with SQL/PostgreSQL databases. Design and maintain database schemas. Write efficient queries. Optimize database performance. Maintain data integrity across product workflows. Integrations Work with WhatsApp Business API and communication services. Integrate SMS and email services. Integrate third-party APIs required by the product. Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues. Engineering Quality Write clean, maintainable and testable code. Participate in code reviews and technical discussions. Debug production issues. Improve application reliability and performance. Contribute to technical documentation where required. Help establish good engineering practices as the team grows. Must-Have Skills We are looking for strong engineering fundamentals rather than someone who simply matches a long technology checklist. Required 3–5 years of hands-on full-stack development experience Strong knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript Experience with React or a similar modern frontend framework Strong experience with Node.js Good understanding of REST APIs Experience with SQL / PostgreSQL or a similar relational database Understanding of authentication and authorization Experience with Git/version control Strong debugging and problem-solving ability Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables Nice to Have The following are advantages but are not mandatory: Experience building SaaS products Experience working in an early-stage startup WhatsApp Business API experience AWS experience Multi-tenant SaaS architecture Role-based access control / RBAC CI/CD pipelines Third-party API integrations SMS/email service integrations Experience in HR Tech, ATS, CRM or workflow-based products Exposure to AI/LLM API integrations What We're Looking For We value ownership and problem-solving as much as technical skills.
